Cher opens the show with a sultry performance of “You’re No Good,” draped in a shimmering green wrap and headscarf, flipping her hair dramatically. In her monologue, she thanks fans for their letters, joking about her spelling struggles and playfully responding to comments about her dresses, cue card use, and even her nose. She introduces guests Jimmie Walker, Teri Garr, and Marty Feldman, giving special acknowledgment to Garr’s role in Young Frankenstein. Feldman plays a door-to-door salesman in a skit, while Cher and Garr don hilarious fuzzy chaps for a spirited duet of “Ragtime Cowboy Joe.” Cher then delivers a powerful medley of her number-one hits “Half-Breed,” “Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves,” and “Dark Lady,” embracing fan requests. In another comedic sketch, Walker stars in a spoof of Parkay margarine commercials, arguing with a talking tub that eventually explodes. Cher plays a school principal confronting Walker’s troublemaker student, and in a segment called “Saturday Night,” she experiences a dateless evening. She then delivers a smoky, sultry rendition of Paul McCartney & Wings’ “My Love.” The grand finale features “The Flying Garbanzos,” a chaotic family of trapeze artists (Cher, Feldman, and Garr) questioned by a police officer (Walker) over a cannonball murder, with accents, double entendres, and collapsing platforms adding to the absurdity. Cher closes the show from the trapeze, thanking her “beautiful” guests as the credits roll over more acrobatics.
