Cher opens with a torch rendition of “If You Wanna Get to Heaven,” clad in a purple fur that she tosses off to reveal a halter top and dark purple dress, framed by a gauzy, fur-trimmed curtain. In her monologue, she jokes about planning a Hawaiian vacation with Chaz, making playful remarks about matching bikinis and her own exhaustion despite being “available.” She warmly introduces guests Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge as close friends and praises Jean Stapleton as a woman she truly admires. In “Life with Laverne,” Jean plays Laverne’s mother-in-law, bringing chaos to the diner. Kristofferson and Coolidge duet on “Late Again Gettin’ Over You,” followed by Cher and Stapleton teaming up for the feminist anthem “Girls Are Smarter.” Cher plays poker with Kristofferson in a skit, wagering household goods when they run out of money, and later, she and Stapleton portray two hapless women drivers struggling to report an accident. In the “Saturday Night” segment, Cher recounts a date with her high school crush. She delivers a soulful performance of “Many Rivers to Cross,” standing in a green dress with baby’s breath in her curls. Stapleton hilariously spoofs a tipsy TV chef struggling with a turkey. Cher, Kristofferson, and Coolidge join forces for a country medley on a Hee Haw-style set, performing “Oh, Lonesome Me,” a sultry “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” and an ironic “Okie From Muskogee,” with Kristofferson muttering “Sorry, Merle” mid-song. For the grand finale, Cher dives into reggae, dancing alongside four male dancers and donning a reggae hat, performing a medley including “This Is Reggae Music,” “Boogie On, Reggae Woman,” and “Stir It Up.” She closes the show on the reggae set, bidding goodnight with “Stay cool and I love you” as the credits roll.
