Cher opens with a bright and playful performance of “All I Really Want to Do,” tossing off white ruffles to reveal a yellow lace-embellished halter pantsuit that highlights her toned shoulders. In her monologue, she introduces guests Kate Smith, Ike & Tina Turner, and Tim Conway before bringing out Chaz Bono, calling him one of the “nicest things” Sonny ever gave her. They share a sweet and hilarious moment playing a memory game, with Chaz teasing Cher about her nose and false eyelashes before making a big showbiz-style entrance and helping introduce the guests.
Cher and Kate Smith duet on “Relationships,” humorously swapping personas as they sing about different kinds of love, followed by a charming skit where Smith plays a mother bird hesitant to let her restless daughter (Cher) fly the nest—until another egg hatches and out pops Chaz. Tim Conway plays Dr. Frankenstein opposite Cher’s hilarious “Mrs. Frankenstein,” a towering, awkwardly affectionate bride who crushes teacups and insists on romance despite her husband’s reluctance.
Ike & Tina Turner electrify the stage with “Nutbush City Limits,” then Tina and Cher dazzle in sequined, high-energy button dresses for a duet of “Shame, Shame, Shame.” Kate Smith delivers a powerful rendition of “What Kind of Fool Am I,” while Cher and Conway play feuding servants ruining a high-society dinner party. The grand finale is a spectacular Beatles tribute, featuring Cher, Smith, and Turner belting out classics like “Help!,” “Let It Be,” and “Hey Jude,” with Tim Conway adding comedic touches as an elderly “When I’m Sixty-Four” and a literal “Yellow Submarine.” The chaotic, joyful medley ends with Ike & Tina’s revue dancing onto the stage, and Chaz joins Cher for the closing as “Hey Jude” plays out over the credits.
