Cher opens with a sultry rendition of “Feeling Good,” draped in black fur and a sequined cut-out gown adorned with butterfly motifs, surrounded by oversized silver-trimmed butterflies. She then shifts into an energetic “I Feel the Earth Move,” punctuated with dramatic hair flips. In her monologue, she addresses television censorship and the concept of “Family Hour.” In a comedic skit, she and Wayne Rogers play clowns attempting to have a wedding ceremony but are unable to stop clowning around. Cher then performs a bizarre medley of “Puppet Man” and “It’s Your Thing,” dressed as a harlequin alongside eerily animated dancers, creating an unsettling spectacle. Nancy Walker plays a frazzled temp hotline worker giving questionable advice to callers, while Cher delivers a beautifully melancholic rendition of “Until It’s Time for You to Go,” set in a candlelit bedroom, dressed in a cream peignoir with her hair wrapped in a soft, Asian-inspired style. Rogers joins her in a parody news segment as scientists studying people who live underwater, and later, all three guests engage in a comedic sketch where they supposedly “showcase their talents” by impersonating each other. In “The Corsican Sisters,” Cher and Walker play identical twins who physically experience each other’s pains and misfortunes. The finale is an over-the-top musical tribute to the all-American hamburger, before Cher closes the show in her signature stylish sendoff.
